A large delegation from Portugal, composed of 8 women and 2 men, participated in the Women Economic Forum (WEF) in New Delhi, between the 26th of April and the 1st of May.


The WEF is a global conference which encourages empowering conversations and network among women.

Among the distinguished Portuguese guests were:
- Maria do Céu Albuquerque, Mayor of Abrantes (http://turismo.cm-abrantes.pt/)
- Filipa Fernandes, city councillor of Tomar (http://www.cm-tomar.pt/index.php/turismo-menu)
- Tania Castilho, WEF organizer and author of the book "BE!... Love: Beyond Illusion"

In 2019, the Portuguese city of Tomar will host WEF from the 23th to the 26th of March and 800 participants are expected.
